Temple
of Horus

ou zigzag back
and forth between the levels of this Hub many times, so the walkthrough
will seem odd since it's based on Levels, not Objects. If it says No Secrets
for a level, it's only because there are no secrets during the initial phase
of searching the level. You may find secrets when you return to the level
later. At the Temple of Horus, walk behind the ramp to find more mana (Secret
#1), then enter the temple by going up the ramp. Read the signs and go left,
down the hall to a ramp leading up to a door. Break the left vase by the
door for an urn (Image 1). Go through the door into a room with a large
statue and make a left, down a hallway to a balcony overlooking a stone
obelisk. Smash the obelisk and jump from this ledge to collect the Krater
of Might (Secret #2/Image 2). Go through the entrance under the ledge, right,
until you find a small pyramid. Go to the ankh button on the right wall
(Image 3) and jump to press it, opening the door in the pyramid. Crouch
and enter the pyramid, pushing on the right wall until you see the Eye of
Horus and a button on your left. Grab the Eye and press the button to stop
the fire trap and open a door behind you (Image 4). Go through the opened
door, left down a steep ramp to an open area where a red-carpeted bridge
leads over a pit to a tall door (Image 5). Walk across the bridge to the
door and turn around. Look down to your right at the cracked wall and the
beam (Image 6). Break the crack from above, then jump into the entrance.
Get the Key of Anubis in the room with the body, table and a sign about
a Constellation to remember. Go back to the beam over the pit and jump down,
going down the alleyway to a room on the right with scorpians and a blue
teleporter (Image 7). IMPORTANT NOTE!! Okay, here's a trick to level up
as much as you want! These scorpians will respawn as soon as you go through
the blue teleporter. So kill all of them teleport through, go back down
the narrow long ramp, jump down to this room, kill again, etc, etc. You
can do this many times (like 20) gaining kills, health, soul spheres, etc.
for virtually free. The trick is to stand in the narrow start of the room
and let the scorps come to you. It's hard for them to hit you there, but
try not to crouch too much, this gives them an edge. This secret is probably
the best "bug" in the game (Secret #3). After the scorpians stop respawning
(like 20 times I think), go to the tall door across the red-carpeted bridge
spanning the pit and enter the Chamber of the Sun (Image 8). Read the message
about High Noon and take the blue teleporter. Grab the amulet and jump down
to the room WITHOUT the statue. Enter the new passageway in the wall (Image
9) and follow it to a room with with a Tome of Power and Bust of Anubis
against the right wall. Place the Eye of Horus in front of the bust to open
the barred door behind you (Image 10). Go through the door, left then right,
to an open area with 3 red teleporters and a carved ankh stone in the center
(Image 11). Enter the red teleporter on your left to the Palace of the Pharaoh.
3 Secrets; Objective order: Get the Eye of Horus. Get the Key
of Anubis. Use the Respawning Scorpians Secret. See the Clue about High
Noon. |
